The GDPR is a comprehensive data protection law that came into effect on May 25, 2018. It replaced existing EU law to strengthen the protection of “personal data” and the rights of the individual. It’s a single set of rules which governs the processing and monitoring of EU data.
Personal data — Personal data is any information that relates to an individual who can be directly or indirectly identified.
Data processing — Any action performed on data, whether automated or manual. The examples cited in the text include collecting, recording, organising, structuring, storing, using and erasing.
Data subject — The person whose data is processed.
Data controller — The person who decides why and how personal data will be processed.
Data processor — A third party that processes personal data on behalf of a data controller.
Data Protection Principles:
1. Lawfulness, fairness and transparency — Processing must be lawful, fair, and transparent to the data subject.
2. Purpose limitation — You must process data for the legitimate purposes specified explicitly to the data subject when you collected it.
3. Data minimisation — You should collect and process only as much data as absolutely necessary for the purposes specified.
4. Accuracy — You must keep personal data accurate and up to date.
5. Storage limitation — You may only store personally identifying data for as long as necessary for the specified purpose.
6. Integrity and confidentiality — Processing must be done in such a way as to ensure appropriate security, integrity, and confidentiality.
7. Accountability — The data controller is responsible for being able to demonstrate GDPR compliance with all of these principles.

Signing up to SeenToHire requires the customer consent to our terms & conditions, privacy policy and cookie policy.
Customers data is stored within the European Union on encrypted AWS EU hosted server.
AES-256 is the technology used to encrypt data in AWS, server-side encryption.
Customers can request and receive all personal data in our database.

Customers can correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
The customer can access their personal information under profile account on the dashboard.
Customers can request to have personal data information deleted.

A cookie consent dialog is displayed to customers who visit the site.
A popup will appear immediately on first page visit on SeenToHire website.
Customers are forced to comply with GDPR policy by enforcing a consent journey before video recordings.
A popup will appear before starting any video recordings, including video CV and video pre-screening.
Customers video CV recordings are private by default, blocked from search engine indexing and optionally password protected to protect customers personal data.
The customers content visibility is private, hidden from search engines and option to password protect their video CV recording (if applicable).
Third party individuals are forced to sign a ‘Data Processing Agreement’ to process customers personal data for the sole purpose of performing our services.
SeenToHire Data Processing Agreement is for the purpose of facilitating any third party services in relation to data processing to support the delivery of behavioural assessment (if applicable).
Seen Hire Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
