So, you use an ATS system?

While you may think the applicant tracking system (ATS) is going to solve your ‘right person for the job’ problem, it does have one major shortcoming. It runs on algorithms. Algorithms that pay attention to particular keywords and phrases. But how does a person’s ability to thrive in a job be defined by a keyword? And consideration of cultural fit or attitude values? Relying on an ATS system means you’re automatically excluding high potential candidates without knowing.

We believe automated and algorithm-based recruitment technology can unfairly disadvantage candidates. For example, an algorithm that decides if a job seeker can work in a team based on using the keyword “we”.
